Painting & Sculpture Outpost
Brand Identity
Situation
In response to the absence of artistic outlets in a small Northern California town, Painting & Sculpture Outpost (P&SO) emerged as a vital endeavor to fulfill the community's need for artistic expression. As a former college art professor, recognizing the void, I collaborated with founding partners to repurpose a rundown storefront on Main Street into a vibrant gallery space, fostering a platform for local and national artists to exhibit their creations. Concurrently, we aimed to cultivate an artistic culture within the community by organizing creative workshops and events.
Task
Assigned with the responsibility of defining and articulating the identity and mission of our community art center, my role at P&SO was pivotal in shaping the narrative of our establishment.
Action
Taking charge of the branding strategy, I conceptualized and developed the visual identity of P&SO, meticulously crafting print materials that served as the cornerstone of our marketing endeavors, both online and within our flagship physical location.
Result
P&SO swiftly ingrained itself as an integral facet of the local community. Our efforts garnered recognition from various media outlets, and I was named Art Educator of the Year by the local county arts council, affirming the impact of our dedication and the resonance of our mission in revitalizing artistic engagement within the town.
